Dark-maned beauty LUCY LAWLESS, the former star of "Xena: Warrior Princess," has given birth to a baby boy. JUDAH MIRO TAPERT was born Tuesday, May 7, and weighed in at a healthy 8 pounds, 8 ounces. Lucy and her husband, producer ROBERT TAPERT, have another son, JULIAS, who's 2. Lucy also has a teenage daughter, DAISY, from a previous marriage.
The tough TV starlet admitted that the journey with her new bundle of joy hasn't been completely smooth! After passing the 10-month mark (her original due date was Apr. 29) she experienced a bit of "road rage," yelling out, "Don't mess with me, I'm 10 months pregnant!"
The blessed news also comes with an extra sigh of relief, as the couple's recent attempts at family life have been touched by misfortune. After "Xena" wrapped last year, Lucy miscarried and lost what would have been her second child with Robert.
"It seemed just a part of life's experience," she told ET back in February. "It actually made perfect sense. Looking back I knew. I felt that something wasn't right. It wasn't how I felt with my last two pregnancies."
Lucy and Robert grieved for the unborn child, but were quickly blessed by their now successful second pregnancy. Throughout her term with Judah, Lucy watched what she ate and got more exercise. Thankfully, all their energies and love paid off!
And apparently proud pop Robert, an avid Detroit Red Wings hockey fan, has high hopes for little Judah -- whom he says would make an excellent hockey player, because he already has no teeth!
