A host of international and local celebrities have let their creative juices flow to support suicide prevention charity Yellow Ribbon.

International stars Tom Jones, Cindy Crawford, Cliff Richard and Ben Harper have donated their artistic talent to help the cause
in a celebrity plate auction that Yellow Ribbon chief executive Keith Pittman promises will be "bigger than Texas".

Jones' plate, a self-portrait with his signature and the word "me" written underneath it, will be auctioned at the dinner to be held
in December. Crawford drew a picture of her lips on her plate, Richard left a signature and Harper used "colourful squiggles".

Kiwi stars, including Peter Jackson, Lucy Lawless, Witi Ihimaera and Charlotte Dawson, have also offered a variety of artistic
impressions - from red high heel shoes to signatures - in support of Yellow Ribbon.

Rally legend Possum Bourne's plate, featuring his own blue hand print on a yellow background with possum prints around the
edges, was painted just weeks before he died. Half the proceeds from the sale of Bourne's plate will go to the Bourne Family
Trust.

Golfing great Michael Campbell has created a golf design for his plate and other sports stars, such as rugby icon Jonah Lomu,
have been approached to give the public a taste of their artistic ability. New Zealand politicians and Auckland mayors will also add
to the mix.

"This is a change in direction for Yellow Ribbon. The dinner will bring together glitz, glamour, fun, and the message that it's OK
to ask for help," Pittman said.
