Pop queen Anika Moa thrilled the lesbian throng who had turned up to see Lucy Lawless sing with Dave Dobbyn at the St James
on Saturday night when she told a male admirer in the crowd, "Don't you know I'm a lezzie?" The young woman in the front row
with the "I [expletive] your girlfriend" T-shirt seemed particularly pleased. But no sooner was Moa's "secret" out than she was
backtracking, with that tired old heterosexual spiel, "I've got nothing against gay people."
