TeenHollywood: Did you have to work to lose your Texas accent?
Renee: I had one then I went to a performing arts high school and they had a speech and diction class and they changed our
vowels and took away the Southern accent.

TeenHollywood: Gabrielle was a storyteller. Are you writing anything.. scripts?
Renee: It?s funny because I find that writing is the most difficult thing for me. I?m such a visual person that I prefer to draw
and paint before I?ll sit down and write but I?m forcing myself to change that and keep a diary. Now I can see what stories I do
want to tell.

TeenHollywood: You are good at several sports. What is your favorite?
Renee: I?m kick boxing now. I just started working out with a trainer once a week. I was so inspired by that that I started
picking up my nunchakus again. It?s such a brutal weapon. On Xena, after Gabrielle has lost her staff, we were looking for a
weapon for her to have but that was too violent.

TeenHollywood: What?s next for you?
Renee: I just finished producing a digital film called ?Diamonds and Guns? with my producing partners and I?m acting in it. I?m
sort of a supporting character because I wanted to focus more on the producing and then we?re working on another one and
I?m either going to act or direct. I?m not sure yet Probably act in it. Working with digital media gives you the freedom to
produce and not after to wait for a certain amount of financing.

TeenHollywood: Any final message to Xena fans?
Renee: I think it?s fantastic to look back on these characters and know how empowered other women have been by watching
them. I felt that way doing the character. Enjoy the DVD.
