| It's Tarzan of the abs on the WB - 2 - Anyway, Jane, the name, got dropped from the title, though Jane, the person, is still big as life in the episode, because it was already made, and it was expensive, so they just toned down some of the parts where Tarzan is sniffing his first girl and Jane is having lots of fun being sniffed. Sarah Wayne Callies is perfect for the part. She went to Dartmouth. She majored in feminist studies. She had a senior fellowship in indigenous theology. She's learning the low-flying trapeze. And she's real cute. The whole thing will change direction next week when New Zealander Lucy Lawless, who played the title role in Xena: Warrior Princess, shows up. She'll be a powerful publishing magnate, sister to the billionaire uncle, who's played by Mitch Pileggi, Skinner on The X-Files. Whatever Lawless does, it will only take one season. Next year, she's scheduled to start her own show on the WB. Long-term, New York's not big enough for Xena and Tarzan, but on the WB there's always room for another hot bod from Down Under. http://www.philly.com/mld/inquirer/entertainment/6932782.htm |
