Kiss Her Fears Away By Susan A. Rice Copyright © 2001 Susan Rice All Rights Reserved
Looking at her looking out to sea, She stands there with a sad smile gracing her face Yet all I want to do is comfort her Together we'll get through this, just you and me. I hear the heart felt sigh as from her lips it does escape She knows I'm near but continues her stoic stance She has given me time to discover warmth anew I reach for her hand as we look out over the seascape Together we stare off into the distance Wondering if we will ever be whole again She with her physical being back Mine to love, perchance. Finally the moment has passed us by And life on the boat begins to stir For that moment it was just we two together Now warriors we be, and neither may cry. She turns to me with something to say Yet there is a deep sadness and hurt in her eyes I know she wants to know what has happened So I lean in, and kiss her fears away.
