I am proud to announce that the January 2003 recipient of the Charani Award of Excellence in Fiction for Ethnic or Religious Diversity goes to Archangel for Desert Hawk.
Desert Hawk by Archangel is a creative tale written by a new and upcoming bard. Desert Hawk introduces us to Dylan Hawk, a young woman who is part Native American. The struggle and complications of her family upbringing combined with her dual heritage are interwoven in an engaging plot that is filled with depth and imagery. Archangel has managed to incorporate the vast struggles surrounding dual heritage while also delivering an entertaining work of fiction. Because of this, it fulfills the objective of the Charani Award of Excellence for the incorporation of ethnic diversity.
Please join me in congratulating Archangel for Desert Hawk.
